How it started

They keep sending a new one.

You’ve met these guys. The door, the window, the “quick” water test that takes all evening. We built this page so you never have to meet another one.

    Do you own the home?

    What's worrying you? (optional)

🔒 Your info goes to one licensed installer. Never to lists or marketers.
    Is your water hard?

If you’re nodding at 2 or more of these, probably.

    🥛

    Spotty glasses

White film on dishes, even straight out of the dishwasher.

    🚿

    Crusty fixtures

Chalky buildup on faucets, shower heads, and glass doors.

    🧼

    Soap won’t lather

You use more shampoo, detergent, and dish soap than you should.

    💇

    Dry skin and hair

That tight, squeaky, never-quite-rinsed feeling after a shower.

    👕

    Stiff laundry

Towels come out scratchy and colors fade fast.

    🔥

    Noisy water heater

Popping or rumbling can mean scale has built up inside the tank.

Live in Stanislaus County? A lot of the area’s water comes from groundwater, which tends to run hard. Want your actual number? Ask your installer for a free hardness check. It takes minutes, not three hours.
    How it works

    Three steps. No doorbell.

You stay on the couch. Your binder-free evening stays intact.

    The difference

    Door guy vs. NoKnock

    The door-to-door guy

    • Shows up unannounced at dinner
    • “Free test” turns into a 3-hour pitch
    • Mystery price, “only good today”
    • Won’t leave. Possibly under your bed.

    NoKnock Water

    • You reach out when it suits you
    • Quote by text or phone first
    • Clear price from a licensed contractor
    • Nobody comes over unless you book it
    What does it cost?

    Straight answer, no binder.

    $1,200 – $3,800typical installed range for a whole-home softener

Where you land depends on your household size, salt-based vs. salt-free, and how easy your plumbing is to get to. Your installer prices your home, in writing, before any work starts.

Range shown is a general industry estimate, not a quote or offer. Final pricing comes from the licensed contractor. California law caps a home-improvement down payment at 10% of the contract price or $1,000, whichever is less.

    Questions

    Fair questions.

    Who actually does the install?

An independent, licensed California contractor (water conditioning or plumbing license). You get the quote from them and sign with them directly. We’re the marketing team that connects you. We don’t do construction work and we don’t take payment for installs.

Will someone show up at my door?

Only if you book a visit. The first contact is a text or call. That’s the whole point of this page.

    Salt-based or salt-free?

Salt-based softeners actually remove hardness minerals. Salt-free “conditioners” reduce scale buildup but don’t technically soften. Some California communities restrict salt-based systems that discharge brine, so your installer will check what’s allowed where you live and recommend what fits.

    Is the quote really free?

Yes. No cost and no obligation. If you don’t like the price, you just say no.

What happens to my phone number?

It goes to one licensed installer so they can quote you (they pay us a referral fee, which is how this service stays free). We never sell or rent it to lists or other marketers. Reply STOP to any text to opt out. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

    Which areas do you cover?
